Proposal Instructions

Please include the following with your submission

  1. Name, email address, phone number and mailing address
  2. Employer, job title and/or affiliations
  3. Brief biography (30 words or less)
  4. Presentation experience. Please include any videos/links if available.
  5. Format preference – please indicate if you would like to present on-site in Washington, DC or submit a pre-recorded virtual presentation.
  6. Submission category
    • Executive: What managers, executives, lawyers, and boards of directors need to know about cyber security
    • Technical: What security practitioners need to know to mitigate, detect, and respond to cyber attacks
    • Solutions: How FireEye solutions are used on the front lines of cyber security
  7. Topic title
  8. Summary/Abstract (250 words or less)
  9. Required time format (45 min, 20-25 min, or if needed, 90 min)
  10. Reason that this topic should be considered for the event
  11. List of additional reference materials, hand-outs, demonstration summary or special equipment to support your demonstration
  12. Other publications or conferences where this material has been or will be published/submitted/presented

Please note that all speakers must adhere to the 100% vendor neutral/no commercial policy of the FireEye Cyber Defense Summit. If speakers cannot respect this policy, they should not submit a proposal.

  • Submissions for the Solutions Track will only be accepted from current FireEye customers and partners.
  • Anyone can submit topics for the Executive and Technical tracks.
  • FireEye Cyber Defense Summit does not accept product or vendor-related pitches.
  • All submissions will be reviewed by the FireEye Cyber Defense Summit 2021 Call for Presentations Committee, and decisions on submissions are final.
  • Submission of a proposal is no guarantee that a proposal will be accepted. Proposals will be judged on their topic and description, its relevance to the event and audience, and the speaker(s) qualifications, regardless of whether the proposal is from a FireEye employee, partner, customer and/or other industry professional.
